UM Special Sunday Offerings  

All United Methodist Churches support six special offerings each year.  These support community outreach, relief efforts, scholarships, and other vital ministries.  Link here

Dates coming up:
United Methodist Student Day: November 29, 2009
  •  United Methodist Student Day furnishes scholarships and loans for students attending United Methodist-related and other accredited colleges and universities.

  • These funds support the Merit Scholarship we offer in our conference. In 2009, we were able to give 3 scholarships for $500 each, thanks to your donations.
     

2010 Dates
Human Relations Day: January 17, 2010
  • Human Relations Day strengthens United Methodist outreach to communities in the United States and Puerto Rico, encouraging social justice and work with at-risk youth.

One Great Hour of Sharing: March 14, 2010
  • One Great Hour of Sharing enables the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to live out its mission to alleviate human suffering.  UMCOR responds to natural or human made disasters - those interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community's ability to recover on its own.

Native American Ministries Sunday: April 18, 2010
  • Native American Ministries Sunday nurtures mission with Native Americans and provides scholarships for United Methodist Native American seminarians.

Peace with Justice: May 30, 2010
  • Peace with Justice Sunday enables The United Methodist Church to have a voice in advocating for peace and justice through a broad spectrum of global programs.

 World Communion Sunday: October 3, 2010
  • World Communion Sunday provides scholarships for U.S. racial- and ethnic-minority students and international students, on both undergraduate and graduate levels.

United Methodist Student Day: November 28, 2010
  •  United Methodist Student Day furnishes scholarships and loans for students attending United Methodist-related and other accredited colleges and universities.
