Below is a letter that will be sent to pastors this week. Included with this letter will be a worksheet for your church to use to gather its numbers for 2009. On that worksheet will be your 2008 reported numbers. This will assist your church leadership in getting your 2009 data together before you log onto the Web site. You will not be able to open and use the General Council of Finance and Administration Web site until your pastor has the Username and Password, which is included in the letter we are sending to you.
If you would like to get a head start on gathering data, you may obtain a copy of a blank worksheet from www.inumc.org, click on the “Administration” tab on the top navigation bar and find these documents under “2010 Check Day”:
Dear Check Day User;
Following is information on entering year-end report information for 2009. The Year End Report Process for 2009 will be electronic this year. The General Council of Finance and Administration will be hosting the process this year using their online software. This process will be new for some and familiar to others.
The Year-end Report submission dates for the 2009 reporting year will be from now until February 15. You will find enclosed a worksheet to use in preparing to submit your data online. We are recommending that you prepare your worksheets before logging into the Web site to submit it. Your username and password information is below and detailed instructions for the forms and for navigating the Web site are enclosed for your information as well.
Thank you for your participation. Please let us know your questions or comments in regards to this process.
Sincerely,
Brent Williams, Director of Administrative Services
Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church
